Psychosomatic Case Presentation with Panos Aloupis and Jamieson Webster

Clinical presentation by Pulsion candidate Gabrielle Jensen, LMSW and live supervision/discussion from a psychosomatic and Lacanian point of view on a psychosomatic patient by Panos Aloupis and Jamieson Webster.

Panos Aloupis, MD, PhD, is a psychiatrist, psychologist and psychoanalyst based in Paris, France. He is a full member of the Paris Psychoanalytic Society (SPP), correspondent member of the Hellenic Psychoanalytic Society (HPS), training and supervising member of the Paris Psychosomatic Institute (IPSO Pierre Marty), member of the editorial committee of the Revue française de Psychosomatique, and faculty member of Pulsion Institute. His last paper is titled “Enemies of unpleasure in A psychoanalytic exploration of the contemporary search for pleasure” (Routledge, 2023).

Jamieson Webster is a psychoanalyst in New York City, Part-time Faculty at The New School for Social Research, and Faculty and Executive Board Member of Pulsion Institute. She is the author, most recently, of Disorganization and Sex (Divided, 2022) and the forthcoming On Breathing (Peninsula, 2025).

Gabrielle Jensen is a psychotherapist working with children, adolescents, and adults in New York, where she is also a third-year psychoanalytic candidate at Pulsion. She was recently awarded a grant by the Foundation for Community Psychoanalysis to develop a drop-in center for caregivers and children ages 0-4 in Downtown Brooklyn. Gabrielle researches links between the climate crisis and somatic clinical presentations, especially in young people and children.
